In many cases, sleep paralysis. In some, not so sure. I definitely don't believe they are demons or even necessarily aliens, but I believe the phenomenon is real, and it could be stranger than we think. I always find it weird how people compare alien abduction to demon encounter. Demons seem to actively try to harm you. Greys, and others, however, don't seem to care about you as anything other than a test subject, a lab rat. That idea is much scarier to me than the idea of a demon encounter.

My gf shared her theory with me and I thought it was interesting. She showed me how most movies based off of aliens are meant for the audience to believe the aliens are hostile or at least unsafe. She said they make it like that bc if the time comes where aliens actually reveal themselves to humans, our minds would be trained to view them as hostile or unsafe. I'm not really sure why it matters but I wanted to share.
I read up somewhere that they're time travelers experimenting on humans and animals. Not gonna lie, it kinda makes sense. It would always explain the "if time travel is real then where are the time travelers" argument.
