About a year before WWI and again in WWII and before the Vietnam War newspapers, writers and just the general public all started speculating about possible world wars, or major catastrophic wars because everyone knew there where major tensions between countries and rapid political changes.
You have to remember he lived on a different time line than us, so his time line is different than ours slightly so it won't be exactly the same. But I agree war is coming.
