Not OP, but my theory is a test Blockbuster bomb.
Here's why. It was during the cold war, the area the hikers were going over was a known weapon testing ground. The Russian government knew that they were behind on nuclear tech, so they threw some uranium or something radioactive in with the Blockbuster bomb. Now, when a blockbuster bomb is dropped, 2000 feet above ground it will first explode and send debries everywhere. But they made it launch radiation and eveything everywhere. The first explosion made them get out of their tents, and get outside, then run down the hill because of a fear of a landslide (Researchers found only a bit of disturbed snow) Then ran down the hill, where a few got hit with radioactive debries and ran into the ravine. Then, the 4 (or 3, I havent read the incident in a while) made the campfire and tried to survive as long as possible, they didnt want to go back to the tent for fear of another weapon. This explains the internal organs and brusing found by the victims in the ravine, why they were discolored by the time they were buried, and the radiation coming up in the autopsies.

Dyatlov has been explained pretty well actually. An avalanche destroyed their camp, leading to hypothermia and paradoxical undressing. The mutilated corpses were caused by animal scavenging. Radioactivity was not part of the earliest investigative reports; it was likely an embellishment which caught on due to spookiness.
