I decided to just stay up until noon and sleep then so when i wake up it won't be long until Fallout 4 is released. Takes a lot of sleep deprivation and/or weed to break my chain of thought, though.

It's called astronomy. Because the planes of rotation of the planets and moon are all more or less the same, they appear to move along a line around the circumference of the sky called "the ecliptic." Sometimes this causes the planets to appear close together in the night sky, such as tonight.
Although the planets may seem aligned from our perspective, most often they aren't actually aligned, and can be on opposite sides of the solar system.
