the weirdest part is that I think I'd be fine if I were at the bottom, as long as there's enough sunlight
I have an irrational fear that one day instead of waking up in my bed I would be laying on the ocean floor in an atmospheric diving suit. Just enough air left to run around disoriented and scared of the large shapes moving around just out of sight in the darkness that may or may not be hallucinations.

Fuck me. One of the worst things i can think of is swimming over the mariana trench.
I'm a good swimmer and it would have been cool just to say Ive done it, but the thought frightens me. It must be some primal instinct kicking in.

I don't know how you guys have this fear. The open ocean, the blue haze, the unknown expanse. I feel more at home lost in the water than I do at earth.
