Thinking of taking a trip to Paris next year. Want to go underground and visit the catacombs. Anyone done this or know about it?
I went awhile back, it's a cool place. But, be prepared to be spooked by some spoopy skeletons. Jk a very intresting and creepy place. In certain spots skulls are arranged in designs like hearts and skulls.
Have you watched As Above So Below? Might be of interest, it's largely set in the Parisian Catacombs

Awesome concept for a movie, complete and utter shit execution. Movie was boring, and I didn't care about any of the characters. I still find the catacombs of Paris absolutely fascinating, however.

You can take the touristic route, lots of gates are closed so you won't be able to get lost. It's a really quiet and humid place. I won't advice stealing any bones or skulls, although it seems pretty easy to do.

The tourist route is short, and you wont see much.
If you want to get serious about visiting the catacombs, you'll need contacts. It can be dangerous.
New entrances are found every now and then, then get closed quickly.
Its a cat and mouse game with the authorities, of course it is illegal.
