did you take a picture?
if not, then fuck off
>>

A picture wouldn't tell much as it's transparent.

why are you so angry?

If it is transparent how did you see it?
>>
>>16924628
you're gay
>>
>>16924636
The same way you can see a window, but it doesn't show up in a photograph.
>>
>>16924641
You could photograph glare for proof then friend. If the dome isn't air it will have a different index of refraction.
>>
>>16924666
Believe me, you can't photograph this thing. Whoever built it went to a great deal of trouble to conceal it.

You can't even see the gap where it enters the ice as it mimics surrounding terrain.
>>
>>16924682
Ok but its not air so there is some angle at which light will reflect instead of transmit through it due to the different speeds light will travel through the two mediums. Take a picture and come back friend :)
>>
>>16924692
I won't be able to go back also you can't take a photo. If you want go there and try yourself, good luck getting past the military though.
>>

>>
>>16924682
how much DMT was needed for that experience?
>>
The first time I smoked weed, I looked up to the night sky and saw the "curvature of the universe" as I called it
It looked like that was a big dome encasing the world
>>
>>16924606
Is it really brick?

That doesn't look safe at all.

None.

No it's not. USA and Russia have tried to nuke the thing 20+ times and couldn't break it.

That's not ice.

>>
>>16924759
Short version, I went to "Antarctica" with a group of research scientists. We had to take shelter at a military base during a blizzard. The next morning I managed to get close enough to see it before we were escorted back to shore.
>>
Does the moon help create it somehow?
>>
>>16924786
No, the moon is an artificial light inside the dome.
>>
>>16924778

okay i am reporting you, so you can get an early morning visit
>>
>>16924778
Well, if you go back ever just throw an egg at it and take a picture.
>>
>>16924813
I can tell you it won't work.
There are probably pictures of it already on the web but all you'll see is snow and ice.
>>
>>16924778
this is seriously the biggest bullshit ever or the worst kind of roleplay, and that's saying a lot when all roleplay is bad
you aren't even trying

>>
>>16924901
You won't give out any information because it's BULL SHIT
Please just be roleplaying
Please don't tell me you actually believe in this domed, flat earth bullshit
>>
>>16924921
Why do you believe the earth is round when the only "evidence" you have is what NASA tells you and a few CGI pictures.
>>
>>16924939
Because my mother took a trip in a concord and took a video of the world from the inside of the plane. You could see the curvature from the height the concord goes to, and I've seen the damn video.
Either my mom is some NASA shill or you're insane.
>>
I just remembered being told about this as a kid.

The idea was that there was the firmament above the earth, so that the earth was kind of encased in water. During Noah's flood, god busted the firmament and most of that water came out.

After the flood, god put the rainbow up and was like "this is to remind you and me that I'll never kill everything in the world with water."

Christianity is dumb.
>>
>>16924944
Stop using this argument. You can't sea earth's curvature from a plane.

It was either the effect of the camera lens or the plane's window.
>>
>>16924953
It's not just any plane though, you retard. It was a CONCORDE. Do you know what that is? Those things were basically space crafts. I know you can't see the curvature from a normal plane's height, but you definitely can at 60,000 ft above the surface of the earth.
>>
>>16924961
Post the video then, but I'm telling you if it shows "curvature" then it's due to some kind of distortion.
>>
>>16924953
okay so you're gonna argue that the plane argument is invalid.
how about the much older vanishing ship argument? As a ship crosses the horizon, the bottom of it disappears first. this would not happen on a flat earth.
you're the expert, plz explain
>>
>>16924987
I highly fucking doubt it. Let me go look for the VHS tape.
>>
>>16924987
how comes that the earth is clearly round from the moons/satelite perspectives then?
>>
>>16924989
It doesn't really disappear, as the object gets smaller it merges with the visible horizon.
If you look at it after the bottom starts to "disappear" through a telescope you would see the full ship again.

>>16924999
>moons/satelite perspectives
what are you talking about.
>>
>>16925005
dont you have internet?
>>
>>16925028
CGI
>>
>>16925005

you've never actually been to the ocean, have you

a large ship doesn't "merge with the visible horizon," and looking through a telescope sure as hell doesn't make the bottom come back into vision
>>
>>16925043
says you?
>>
>>16924950

omg dude... ! and reading your comment just reminded me of an experience that I had as a youngster. I must've been no older than 10 or 11.... family and I had taken a short weekend road trip, a little ways North. there was a massive storm but dad wanted us to go out onto this weird pier thing. I'm scared shitless of water, especially the ocean, and I suppose this must've been obvious. I just remember having terirble vertigo, and feeling like the entire pier was weakened by this rocking motion, and that it would collapse into the sea at any moment. out of nowhere, this group of 3 or maybe 4 old men come up and start holding my hands and praying and "blessing" me, telling me they were missionaries and how I need not worry because god will never kill me with water, he has different plans. this was fucking weird to me since I'd never really been around many religiious folks. the other major thing I remember about the experience is how after their little prayer thing was said and done they all said "amen" and I said "thank you!" and they all stared at me, mouths somewhat agape, as if I'd ruined the whole thing or some shit.

weird memories. lol
>>
>>16925034

Dont be that pretentious
>>
>>16925055
so im just reading all this but I should say: it doesn't. I live close to the sea and my dad works with boats, I already watched his boat leave the field of vision on my telescope.
>>
>>16924901
You already have put identifying info you rtard. Scientific expedition that had to take shelter in a millitary base to ride out a blizzard. Cuz sooooo many people do that on a daily basis.
>>
>>16925067
a stronger telescope would show it for longer
>>
>>16925055
Hm. Fair enough.

...though i will say, it's a little hypocritical to be calling "says you" when this entire thread is you /saying/ you've seen something ridiculous.

if my observations are unreliable, so are yours
>>
>>16924606

Earth isn't perfectly round

Also making up ad hoc reasons against the earth being round doesn't prove it's flat or any other shape. The round earth model is accepted because it fits in with everything else we know.

If all "perceived roundness" we're due to gravitational lensing in it would negate most mechanisms of modern GPS and navigational mechanisms

the earth is round
>>
>>16925435
round is the earth
>>
>>16925058
That is weird, yeah.

Further expounding upon my earlier point, I just remembered how they tied the whole thing together.

So the earth was surrounded by this watery firmament, right? This caused some weird effects on temperatures, environment, etc. Due to this, it created the proper world for super-fauna, giant reptiles, etc.

But when god broke the firmament and the world flooded, it destroyed this ecosystem, and all of those giant beasts became extinct (even though they were on the ark). Yes, I was taught the young earth theory, and that dinosaurs and man existed at the same time.

Fucking Christianity, man.

OP can't make up his mind what it looked like so I don't think he can tell you what was on the other side friend. its too deep for you to understand you aren't a research scientist who goes on missions to the far reaches of the globes to momentarily approach a giant dome then get escorted back to your ship to leave moments after arriving
