Whenever I'm doing certain serious things advanced le-magic-related, he calls me up out of the blue. I haven't had any more conversations that I don't remember, but I have had plenty of fucking weird ones with him, including several where he indicated that he knew what I was doing somehow. I've basically accepted the fact at this point that he somehow just always knows. There isn't exactly anything I can do about that. At least he's friendly?

So, has anyone heard of this shit before - mysterious CIA-types showing up out of the blue to keep a close eye on advanced magic users and psychics and shit? Anyone out there deep into this kind of stuff who's had run-ins with gov guys? Anyone have any possible info that could help me figure out wtf is going on with this guy?

Try skyping on your phone or on a different computer about magic, to see if Dane still calls. Try making a new Skype account on a different computer, and then try a new skype account on your current computer, to isolate variables.

Also it's not just "talking about magic" that gets him to call anymore. It was that way at first, and he was deeply invested in trying to prevent me from meeting Jack to do intense training/tutelage under him. Basically I met Jack anyway and that's all said and done, but we had a lot of weird shit going on (including a few weird cars following us) for a while there.

He's done it over the phone mostly - in person, there was only once, the first time he met me, that he walked up to me at one point, stopped, smiled and squinted hard at me, I started to feel that same extreme blurred out feeling, and he started looking at me really fucking hard from different angles, sort of tilting his head this way and that.
