I made a thread on /B/ and they kept telling me that this was a thread for you /X/philes. So here goes...
Earlier today while walking we found an abandoned barn with weird stuff. Bones nailed to walls. Discolored stained tarps. Couple of chairs. A weird container. a bit of discharged shotgun shells. Two dead dogs laying around and someone said they looked preserved decently. All kinds of weird shit. We live on the outskitoutskirts of a decent sized town in northeastern KS 913.

No it was a pretty aired out thing. No distinct smells. It was a pretty open air barn with a rusted out roof.
Thank you for the responses we are definitely going back tomorrow. I plan on getting close up pictures of more things. Last picture I habe for the night. We plan on poking around a bit more tomorrow. Seeing what is under the tarp.

Theory: fucked up guy who liked to lure, poison, debone animals. He left long ago before the dogs were there and the two canines were the last victims.

We did run into some joggers on our way out. They acted like they knew how to get to the barn and knew it was totally abandoned. Nothing they said alluded to them knowing there was creepy stuff in it. They went in and checked anyway.

Normally I would be inclined to say there's a logical explanation for the two dead dogs being there. But those bones didn't nail themselves to to the wall. Be safe OP.

What makes you think they are human bones? I really just would like as much info as I can get before I go bacn out there.
Don't immediately panic OP. Those are probably animal bones, one in particular looks like the femur of a midsize animal. A human femur would be bigger and not as curved.

They don't really look like human bones. A few of the bones have a head, which indicates a ball and socket joint (which could only either be a femur or humerus). The bones in the pictures are too small (unless they belong to a deformed child) to be human.

This photo reminds me of a scene from Wolf Creek or something... Like he/she nailed whatever to that post by the back bone and just let it die there and as it decayed the nailed bones remained. i dunno... just putting ideas out there.

apart from the dead dogs this sounds like a fairly run of the mill, if a tad messy, hunter's hangout/skinning spot. a structure is good for hanging kills to let the blood drain out.

Looks like a old First Aid box from the 60s, from the looks of it the top is missing and so is the containers that would be on the inside. Did you find any form of old medical supplies lying about. Or any evidence that they may have been used there? On the dogs or bones maybe?

those are coyotes, the bones on the walls are possibly coyotes, but my guess would be deer leg bones. you can see this shit in old small abandoned barns all over the country. the two mummified coyotes, they might be using the barn for shelter. they could have died from anything, from starvation to run of the mill canine illness. parvo can wipe them out pretty quickly.
as for nailing bones to the wall, i've seen people do that. nail up deer legs. they might have meant to do something with them, but just never came back and did it. the scattered bones on the floor might be the result of said coyotes denning up there, bringing parts of carcasses back.
