That's not how it works bud, they bust the owners of the site who give the ip from the proxy/vpn, they contact the proxy/vpn company, boom your actual IP is there. I used to use vpnreactor, they keep records for about 3 days. It's not that they couldn't catch every online criminal who's dumb enough to trip an alarm, it's that they're too lazy to.

i just went to this website, made it to the page with 3 triangles, clicked one, cant remember which one, maybe the left one, then on this page, once i waved my mouse over towards the middle/right side of the screen there are a bunch of animated skulls lined next to eachother with an arrow next to them pointing left. i accidentally right clicked over the skulls and it saved an image in a ZIP file, and its asking for a password to open the zip file. in the bar that says the file name, there is one categorie (i dont know what else i would call it, some say the file name, the size, where its located etc) that says "password" and underneath it says 'yes' and when i type 'yes' in to the password box, it says its wrong. any ideas? any info? this zip file is saved onto my computer rn, do i delete it?

I've been a member of the site since it was still anywherebb.com, although I rarely even lurk these days. It's just the personal website of an italian software developer. He made a pretty great space sim for DOS (think No Man's Sky) called Noctis which gave me pretty powerful feels at the time. Oh, and he made a programming language.
He's since succumbed to self-loathing, and the website is pretty much dead save for a dozen or so hardcore members that post periodically.
I have no idea why it's on the list. Maybe the image creator just wanted to give the website publicity? Alex probably isn't coming back, so there's no point in it.

In case you're still here, it's a space sim that emphasizes planetary exploration, in a hideously low resolution permitted by DOS. You can name a planet from your boxy spacecraft (a Star Drifter) and land on any point of the planet to walk around freely. Everything is procedurally generated. The developer made it a point NOT to include any form of combat in the game.
Fittingly enough for a game written in a years long bout of depression, the atmosphere is crushingly lonely. The game's backstory states that the player's parent race vanished without a trace while the explorers piloting the star drifters were busy cataloging nearby star systems. Poof. And the number of Felisians continues to dwindle, since they aren't terribly fertile or interested in reproduction.
The developer did some borderline Tolkien-tier worldbuilding, including some sketches of Felisians, details on their society and technology, the foundations for a constructed language, and unique units of measurement for time and distance.
The game has aged poorly though, and I don't think it'll even run on Windows 7 machines or DOSBOX.
