There are multiple ways to go about this.
This is the first time I've encountered "Codex Succubi" so I don't know how to compare it.
Anton's method and the JoS methods however are simple and easy to do for anyone who actually want succubus in their lives.
This takes dedication.
To begin:
Go into trance.
Ask the spirits of hell to send you a succubus.
Invite the succubus to have access to you and your spiritual energy -- be warned that this may drain you if you are not spiritually strong.
Working with the succubus:
You can experience the succubus mentally through images or other sensations.
Maintain a high level of awareness to perceive your succubus as it manifests in various ways while you go about your daily business (or when you're dreaming. It can very vividly interact with you in dreams!)
As time goes on:
Once you develop that energy link and continue feeding it, it will be able to manifest in more tangible ways, such as feeling it stimulate you through your physical senses as you work with it.

Yes. I tried after reading this thread. But I already have the ability to communicate with different beings and spirits. The space "down here" on our plane is huge, so finding any kind of being is a matter of your own ability and what you aim at. Being able so sense things doesn't help in itself. I don't think you're very likely to see them manifesting like that nowadays. Maybe they could do that in the past, from books it seems even in intellectual circles it was considered possible to meet them (and similar beings, like dryads) as late as the second half of the 1700s. It depends on your level of bond (contract or marriage or one night stand or else) and your instructions/permissions to your succubus.
To get them to physically manifest, you have to develop a very good emotional bond with one, psychically develop enough to sense it, and be spiritually strong enough to empower it.

the fact that it is not helpful and hospitable is also why i keep returning to it.
