Lately I can't meditate. The voice in my head won't stop, there's always some environmental annoyance, and I end up feeling frustrated rather than renewed. It's discouraging 'cause it used to bring me a lot of peace. Why is this happening? Will it pass?
Yes it should, if I may offer a tip. Try lighting a candle while you meditate spend 10 minutes just staring into the flame with a void mind. After 10 minutes close your eyes and visualize the candle and the flame in your mind, every time an errant thought appears open your eyes to look into the flame again. Just for a few seconds. If you start getting frustrated then extend your breathing counts till you calm down, and return to focus. Use ear plugs if necessary
That is because meditation on void is nearly impossible for the humans in this age. The prescribed spiritual practice is mantra meditation, in particular, chanting the Hare Krsna mahamantra.

Let me start by saying this is not roleplaying. And this is 100% serious. A few old fag may remember me from on and off again the past couple years. And I come here again to ask about the said subject. My room mate is capable of seeing and communicating with spirits, and unfortunately I cannot. The problem is he refuses to use his abilities.
