Has anyone here tried Lucid Dreaming?
Is it hard to achieve and what is it like once you achieve a lucid dream?
I have. It's only happened to me twice but I'll explain in as best detail as possible.
The first time I had a lucid dream, I was a kid, like 7 years old. All that happened was that I realized that I was dreaming while in the dream. It amazed me but I didn't know what to think of it.
Second time was my freshman year of college. I had actually been purposefully trying to lucid dream, and was writing down my dreams in detail every morning after I woke up since that's what everyone says you should do.
Well it only took 2 days and I had one. In my dream I was walking up a staircase to the floor of my dorm that I lived on, and there was an extra door in the stairwell that wasn't usually there. I started to go through it like it was no big deal but then I realized "wait, this shit isn't usually here, holy shit I'm dreaming".
Once you realize you're dreaming you start to wake up and that's the most difficult part about lucid dreaming is staying asleep. I had heard that a good way to stay asleep is to spin around in circles in your dream, so that's what I did and it worked for a little bit.
I was like "well shit what should I do" so I went outside my dorm and just started fucking flying around campus. It was pretty cool. It's still hard to stay asleep though.
Eventually I landed and more regular unexplainable dream shit happened. I was losing control of the dream and then I just woke up.
Haven't had one since then but it's pretty fucking cool to fly and shit. I still have weird dreams but I haven't been able to control them

Everyone in my dad's family has always been poor-lower middle class. All of them are college graduates and very smart people but they are some how always broke. Even when they are careful something always comes along and knocks them down.
How do I lift this curse so I can live a better life?

Why is there no panic about the Zika virus? Wheres the media?
We are facing one of the worlds most dangerous diseases in the modern age. People literally can't have kids because they will become way to deformed.
Normally this is already a big deal. But right now it's still pretty much contained. However, we are about to have the worlds biggest sports event in Brazil, the Olympics. People from all over the planet are going to visit, and, will most likely be infected bringing it back to their home countries.
Why is this not being cancelled? Sport events in Africa have been cancelled or replaced to another part of the continent for a lot less!
Its almost a bit to convenient, a great way to reduce the world's population depending on the rate of it's spread through sexual action.
