Is there a way to minimize graphic use or do anything really to be able to play at least some modern games? Setting the settings to low is probably not going to cut it, and just being able to play dwarf fortress gets stale after some time. I'm using a shitty Lenovo laptop with Intel HD Graphics 4400 which would restrict me from playing most modern games, but my CPU and RAM is above the minimum requirements for basically everything. Demos aren't a thing anymore, so I'm sort of expected to buy and risk things not being playable or hoping to just squeak by. I'm almost computer illiterate, mainly in the hardware category, which is what brings me here.

Pirate in order to see if you can run a game and buy it if you like it, and can run it. It's the demo disk of 2016.

I usually do that, but for multiplayer only stuff like The Culling or CoD Multiplayer or something won't work, which is my primary issue
a laptop is not going to cut it

surely it depends on the laptop? :/
