Ergo Proxy
Ghost in the shell
Kiseijuu
I can't get any sense of taste from that list, but given you're still in the "I only watch mature anime for mature people such as myself" phase I guess just stick with standard low-key sci-fi and fantasy recs for now:
>Ghost in the Shell (original film, and SAC anime)
>Paranoia Agent
>Mushishi
>Kino no Tabi
>Haibane Ranme
Though I kinda think it's funny you talk about only finding trash for kids when you give S;G a 10/10.

>Paprika - 4

There's something very wrong with this image.

It's just OP being a faggot, nothing new under the sun.
I can see you enjoying Your Lie in April.

death note was fucking cringeworthy, the show wasn't edgy, the main character was an edgy faggot and i instantly hated him.

dude, one of my all-time favorite shows is excel saga... its the complete opposite of mature.
i like surrealism, satire/parody style humor, psychological thrillers when done well and romance when its tasteful.
most of all any great show must have have an array of likeable characters, or completely abhorrent characters, honestly either is good, but having a generic copy and pasted main character is the worst offence.
please explain why you think s;g is trash and i will counter it.

5cm fucking destroyed me emotionally, the anime i relate to most, the pain is so real. its masterful in all aspects.
paprika i couldn't get into, sorry, the aesthetics did not capture me, no endearing characters and seriously lacking a coherent plot.
honestly just feel like watching something comfy and lighthearted, something like hyouka or toradora, or even a comedy like excel or kokkuri-san.
sorry for being a huge faggot, i blame years of browsing /mu/
