I'm trying to use a TV (LG 42LS5700) in my office as an input source to display the image on three HDMI monitors located in separate rooms. Everything is hooked up and connected to an HDMI splitter (J-Tech Digital JTD0401/4K). However, for some reason, the splitter doesn't recognize the TV as an input source. When I use a PC for input - everything works perfectly. What is the problem and how can I fix it?

What are you trying to output from? computers? cable boxes? bluray/

cable box

Pretty sure Cable boxes send HDMI video out encrypted, otherwise people could easily capture the video digitally.

Yup. You can try a DHCP stripper. something like this http://www.ebay.com/bhp/hdmi-splitter-hdcp but read up because since it's questionable gray area stuff you may end up dissapointed with that route also.

Of course it doesn't: A TV IS AN OUTPUT DEVICE.

You need to take whatever is outputting to the TV, split that four ways, and output from the splitter to the TV and the three monitors.

HDCP supports being split: each device communicates with the source back through the splitter, and the source encrypts the session key with its key as well. Not all source devices support more than one key; common numbers of keys to support are 1, 3, 7, and 16.
