Seriously, it's not going to stop anyone from asking "sauce plz" a million times a day on /a/ or anything. The most it does it give anons another board to redirect to, and give moderators more leverage to delete request threads, leverage that they already had. You'd probably get the same mileage out of just stickying "No requests allowed on /a/" as this board existing.

I'm looking at the catalog right now on /r/ and I'm seeing shit that's been on there for 6 hours. You can easily get a /r/equest out there in that timeframe. I suppose, realistically thinking, there's no harm for letting this stay, the mere creation of this board will lead to at least a few people using it, but I can't imagine there was much of a call for it.

I don't think a fair number of the questions are getting answers, actually. Granted, there's a lot of joke questions that don't deserve answers, but there's also some legitimate requests out there that either haven't gotten any responses, or just joke responses.
