Hey /wsr/,
Looking for a media player that isn't VLC. After a few years of pixels I am fed up. The main issue i have VLC if anything is using my CPU/GPU/RAM it pixels all the time. I am running a GTX 980, 16Gbs of ram and a I7 2700k CPU.

Personally I think potplayer is pretty good assuming you are on windows.

Another alternative that has been gaining traction is mpv especially for linux users. ( Haven't tried this one yet but heard it is good)

MPV is the best one for Linux, there's also bomi which is based on MPV, it's pretty much MPV with a GUI.

throwing my vote in for GOM. it's been my media player of choice for 7-8 years, and hasn't gotten bogged down with shit during that time period like most other players have succumbed to...

for music, MPC as >>53933 is a solid choice.
