Anyone know what programs can interfere with Chrome starting up? It's doing that really fucking annoying thing where you click it to open, it comes up in Task Manager for a split second before disappearing again.

Tried re-installing, tried restarting my computer, tried hard restarting my computer. It started after my computer installed some updates. I'm currently stuck with Explorer, a fate I don't wish upon anyone.

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data and delete the file state. Or just the whole folder really, then try again.

I had this happen. Go into the program file where Chrome is, and see if there's something like 'old_chrome.exe'. Rename that to 'last_chrome.exe' and try running that file.
