Hi, /wsr/
Lately some programs have been giving the "R6002 -floating point support not loaded"
It usually gets fixed on a reinstall. I want to know what is causing it and to fix it once and for all.
I've heard it can be caused by malware. I've done a scan with Malwarebytes and removed everything it found but it still persists. What do?

update your .framenetwork, for japanese VNs set your locale to japanese you use applocale. When you scanned your computer did you run it in safemode first? If not you did nothing.

my locale is already set to japanese. I don't think it's a .net framework problem because, like I said, it's fixed when I reinstall but it happens again after a few days. I'll try scanning in safe mode.

As someone who has had a similar issue, and fixed it, I'm advising you to update it. Just saying.

Sorry for sounding like a retard, but how do I update it? Do I install the latest version?

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49981 there's probably a newer version though.

Thanks. I'll scan in safe mode and install that later, and see if it gets fixed.

Done with the scan. The only thing it found is 'rooiiu.pif', which I had already removed before. I told it to remove it again, restarted, enabled show hidden folders and files, and searched for it on the C drive. I found it again.

it recreated itself. What is it?

cryptolocker variant

How do I get rid of it then?

you don't. wipe the drive and reinstall windows.
if it's indeed a cryptolocker variant, there's nothing you can do, it's next level malware.

how do you even get this shit in the first place?

I don't know, but recently a friend on steam got hacked and sent me a link which I stupidly clicked. Afterwards I ran the chrome cleanup tool or whatever and it found 'Colisi'. I told it to remove it. Dunno if that could be it though.
