Alright guys, so my friend recently got into Magic: The Gathering, which I used to be a huge fan of. He showed me his standard deck, which has 96 cards in it. I haven't kept up with the game, so if there is someome on here that can cut it down to 60 in the best way, please help.

If he wants that many cards, he could play EDH/commander. Also standard is insanely expensive right now, might be worth just investing in modern. What is he evn trying to do before I can suggest cuts?

He is very new to the game, like very very. That deck is pretty much a starter deck with some boosters thrown on it. And I'd give him one of my EDH decks but I run kind of off-meta builds, ie my 3 decks are black white, poison, and colorless...none of which i'd want him starting on
