my ps3 slim (pic related, not mine but same model) died the other day. it'll turn on for 2 seconds and then shut back off entirely (no red light like usual when the console is in standby).
i've taken it apart and cleaned everything and still have the same problem. my last idea is that the hard drive could be shot. is anyone familiar with this problem?

They warranted it for its warranty period, and it lasted its warranty period.
And then you voided the warranty by taking it apart.
