Series looked really pretty, shame about all the CG.

Is COWDS any good? It's popular with Tumblr and it has awful CG.

If knowing that somehow stops you from enjoying something then you shouldn't see 90% of shit that comes out. I'm guessing it's "popular with Tumblr" because of the two asexual alien characters and a trap dude. One of the asexual aliens kind of looks like a fucking tranny but he's such a fucking cool guy no one cares, another alien is literally satan and the trap dude's character isn't defined by DRESSES LIKE A GRILL, they don't even address his crossdressing in the series.
But, yes. I found it to be a pretty good series. There are barely any fights, though, its more about the characters. The social commentary is a bit more present in the second season though.

It's good.

With a western mindset, I could see why tumblr would be attracted to that series, but it was never like that. This is an eastern show, so the tumblr SJW bullshit doesn't even exist. It was not at all in your face about those issues, infact it treated those characters like any other character.

It was extremely refreshing seeing those characters like that.

Even /a/ didn't hate it, and they hate everything
