Requesting help connecting ps3 to the internet.
I am trying to hook my ps3 to the internet in my new apartment. It is connected directly into the wall with an ethernet cable. But everytime I connect it either can't get an ip address or gives an error. My computer connects fine to the internet, and asks for a username and password to connect which I put in under the pppoe section.
What do I need to do to connect it?

I figure you need a router that handles the PPOE connection so that everything else can be set to connect directly to the internet.

I was worried I'd need to buy a router. They are expensive in this area. I tried turning my computer into a wireless hotspot with mhotspot but that also didn't work either.
