I injured my knee playing football yesterday it was OK the moment it happened just walking with a limp. Went in net for about 10 mins then continued playing out with a limp when moving only with very slight discomfort. I woke up today morning and moving it was painful but nothing extreme. I cant fully straighten my knee, I can put weight on it but it is very unstable. Twisting it slightly causes a lot of pain. Any advice?

Walking with very short steps on the injured leg and my dad said give it a day and see if it is still not improving before going doctors.
