I liked the episode with the "strange leaves".
The premise was good.
It went absolutely fuckin' nowhere with it.
Watch Shinigami no Ballad and Plastic Memories. Also might want to try Kowarekake no Orgel.
angel beats has a similar setting, kids in limbo who can't pass on, it is more battle/comedy oriented though
