for sweet ass climactic fight scenes its in a league of its own. so far as a one vs impossible odds though its got some pretty good company.
Yeah, that final fight is hands down the best I have ever seen in anime. I don't think anyone will be able to do better than it, so you're gonna have to settle for something lesser.

The setting is not remotely similar but if you want something with good animation and lots of emotion then Hunter x Hunter (2011) will be able to deliver.

You can see other examples on that site as well, but beware spoilers. Despite the good action scenes, I should warn you not to go in expecting a fighting anime. Conflicts are often resolved through wits and strategy as well.
