I'm looking for some good Japanese films that have been released within the last 10 years or so
I've seen all the ones by the more well known directors like sion sono, takakashi miike, koreeda, (Katsuhito Ishii) so I'm looking for some others

nope, I saw it announced a while ago but probably dismissed it because it's animation

It is. I liked it a lot, though then again, I do like animu.
But it was still directed by Iwai, and it's got the same actresses. And while it's animated, it's rotoscoped.
