I vaguely remember hearing about a story about a man who becomes so obsessed with medieval fiction books that he started emulating the behavior of the classic knight, starting trouble and just acting like a complete nut until he accidentally killed himself by falling off of a windmill or a water tower or something.

I'm interested in finding this and no matter what I google, results just don't show. Am I going insane? Does it even exist? I can't even remember if it was a book or a film. Help?

Also, maybe general find-films-and-books-you've-forgotten-the-name-of thread?
