Is there a free captcha solver I can download that works? I'm not using it to spam, I just need to run checks on locks on apple's icloud and I hate filling in that shit.

No. There is no free captcha solver that works. That's actually kinda what captcha is... you know... for... is having those things not work. There HAVE been automatic captcha solvers in the past, but all of them worked by exploiting a bug in the way captchas work on individual websites. Apple's captcha doesn't appear to have one. I just looked on some of my channels and didn't find anything for Apple. People haven't managed to break Apple's captcha yet, at least from what I can find.
No, but there are people out there you can pay to fill out captchas for you.

If you're reselling phones, then you're wiping them first, right?
So just DFU the fuckers and you'll find out on first boot if they're locked or not.
