I have a ds4 controller paired via a generic bluetooth 4 adapter in windows 8, no issue pairing. It pairs right away, asks for the pairing code, then connects.

But it won't stay connected for than a couple seconds.

I've tried pairing it again, connecting it again but no matter what, it only stays connected very briefly.

Basically I can't make the controller stay connected. Any ideas?

Turns out this dongle's range is just fucking garbage. I really didn't think I would need to be <3 feet for it work properly but when I by chance kept the controller in my hand while going to fiddle with the dongle, the thing connected perfectly. Moved further away and the lightbar began to flash. So apparently it's possible to make a bluetooth dongle with <3 feet range. Don't buy any cheapshit dongles off ebay. Have a nice life
