Requesting a guide on removing pitch black lines w/ GIMP. I dun have photoshop bc poorfag. It doesn't work when I follow the instructions. ;;
It's a troll infographic. Not possible.
If the boxes were slightly translucent, adjusting curves would make things more visible. However, in the example image the lines are solid black. There's no data there to manipulate. Adding noise won't help either.
Use the "select by color" tool and set the threshold to zero to see if all the pixels are identical in color. There might be jpeg artifacts around the edges, but the center (where the text should be) is totally blank.
