Data wise that is. I have an old Acer Aspire 5520 that I want to get rid of. I originally planned to do a factory reset and then run SDelete six times, but I apparently deleted the recovery partition. What's the best way to make sure the information is not accessible to anyone (I'm dropping it off at a computer recycling place run by the county).

just remove and keep the drive. its going to a recycle center anyways.

if you insist on keeping the drive in the laptop, burn darik's boot and nuke to a cd, boot off it - removes all data off the drive
