Just got into pc gaming. I have an i5 and a gtx 950.
I have some noob questions
1) What are some good programs that allow me to use a xbox 360 controller as a virtual mouse? When i have it hooked up to my tv it is cumbersome to plug in my mouse.
2) If I have trouble running a game , what setting should i turn down first to improve performance?
3)what are some good sites/trackers to download pc games?

Shadows, Bloom and Post Processing effects usually change FPS the most along with resolution

To #2, try anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering.

2. Resolution, then anti-aliasing, and possibly texture size.
Note that at the other end, anisotropic filtering (AF) is one of the "cheapest" features you can use yet helps a lot. Crank that one all the way up and forget about it.
3. Piratebay or Kickass.
