I need some tech support.
In an effort to keep my aging pc going I bought an AMD FX 8-Core Black Edition Processor off of a co-worker to replace my old AMD FX-6100 6-Core.
The problem is, with the new processor installed, I get no display. I left the panel off and I can see my graphics card fans start and stop and the CPU led is steady red. I updated my BIOS and still nothing. Any input would be appreciated.
System info:
Windows 10 64-bit
Motherboard : ASUS Sabertooth 990FX ACPI Bios Revision 1604
Graphics: Geforce GTX960 FTW edition
Bumping out of desperation.
Reinstalled my original processor and the system runs fine. Does that mean it's just the 'new' processor?
What does the POST code say?

Is there a way to view past ones somewhere in the event log? I didn't hear any beeps of doom when I started it up.
If the cpu is an FX-9370 or FX-9590 it won't work on that motherboard

It's an FX-8320
