Pic related. The answer should be 500m^2. I don't know how to calculate this. Could someone explain the method?

Split BCD into two right angles then work out the area of both.

Use law of sines (http://www.sparknotes.com/testprep/books/sat2/math2c/chapter9section9.rhtml) to find angles and third edge.

Bisect into two right-triangles.

1/2*base*height.
