I am currently at 999 series of anime completed and need help picking my 1000th! I've been watching anime seasonally since 2001ish and have generally seen all of the 'classics' (and then some).

Can anyone recommend me a good series I might have missed to finish for my milestone? I generally will watch any genre as long as it's well done. Thanks!

(Picture shows some shows I have finished. This isn't everything, but some.)
