Can anyone suggest any good horror animes?
Since you apparently already know Higurashi (and I'm not sure if that falls under "Horror"), here are some others:

They are probably the first ones you'd find when using google, but they're the only ones I've seen and remember.

Corpse party is such a good game but the anime only shows the wrong endings where most of the MCs die.
Shiki, Gakkou no Kaidan, Parasyte, Yami Shibai...
You're better of reading some horror manga, honestly. Start with some Junji Ito (Uzumaki, Gyo, etc) and go from there.

Watched shiki! I liked it, but I don't really think it's that creepy though, more sad and a bit gory.
Started seeing Parasyte, but got really upset when there was an infected dog lol, so I stopped watching it. Might try to watch it again though
Yami Shibai is good shit! Probaly the only one I've watched that have really felt creepy
Junji Ito is awesome too, but I can't get as scared by reading something desu
