I'm tired of searching for something to read based on general consensuses, so I'd rather just ask directly. Looking at charts clearly hasn't helped me, and I don't feel like wasting time or filling up my seedbox with series I'm just going to open up and close in minutes.
I'm looking for any pre-2010 manga to read. I've only really been reading recent manga, so that's why I'm asking in that range. Ongoing manga is perfectly fine with me, but it has have begun before 2010.
Some of my favorites (not necessarily pre-2010) are REAL, Angel Densetsu, Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san, and Amaama to Inazuma.

Voynich Hotel (2006), 4 volumes. Seinen. Horror comedy.
Needless (2003), 17 volumes. Seinen. Action comedy ecchi.
Lotte no Omocha (2007), 9 volumes. Seinen. Fantasy harem comedy.
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (2005), 30 volumes. Shounen. Comedy.
Shut Hell (2008), 12 volumes, ongoing. Seinen. Historical fantasy action.
Tsugumomo (2007), 15 volumes, ongoing. Seinen. Action, ecchi.
Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya (2007), 2 volumes. Seinen. Fantasy action.
Yotsuba&! (2003), 13 volumes, ongoing (technically). Shounen. Slice of life comedy.
Unfortunately basically everything I read from the 80s and 90s is either battle shounens or porn.

Thanks. The only one I'm reading out of those is Tsugumomo, and I like it quite a bit.
However, battle shounen is completely fine with me, as long as the overall writing isn't terrible.

If you're reading Tsugumomo then you're probably aware of the TL threads on /a/ for it, we've probably rubbed elbows there before.
Well mainly there's two battle shounens that I feel have held up:
Yu Yu Hakusho (1990) and of course Dragon Ball (1984), though past volume 16 it loses a lot of its charm (which is the point the anime goes from Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball Z, start of the Saiyan Saga). There's others, but they require such a large investment of time that I feel unless you're specifically looking for something battle shouneny you can skip them.

I've been meaning to check out Yu Yu Hakusho, but I've heard the anime holds up pretty well too, so I figured I'd check that out.
As for Dragon Ball, I've always thought Dragon Ball sounded pretty fun (outside of Z), so I guess I'll check that out too. Thanks again.

Yes the anime is on-point for YYH and worth a watch. It's not bad dubbed either though that might just be nostalgia talking. I think it holds up over time though.
And yeah DB is a lot of fun til it gets very serious later on, One Piece is similar in that way but is considerably longer plus the art style can put people off it so I don't usually recommend it to people right off.
