help me 4chan u are my only hope
You might have installed the wrong driver for your wifi. Try using the original driver CD if you have it.
BTW, what model is your wifi adapter, and what OS are you using? Be specific.
Dont think the driver is the problem.went in through device manager and updated it from there. Not sure about model no. But im on win10
Model for my router is DLink DIR-826LA1

Is it an internal adapter or external? Also, I wouldn't trust Windows Update 100% of the time since it sometimes doesn't install correct drivers.
SORRY. Meant wifi adapter. Dont know much about these topics
How would i tell if the adapter is internal or external? Assuming we are not talking about modem now.
If we are its external
Must be internal then. Only thing relativly close to my usb is etbernet cord. And id rather not be using that

Why not? Unless you're using a laptop, ethernet is a much better option.
It is a laptop

Alright then. What model?
Dell inspiron 15 something.. Can give details after i get off

If I know the exact model number, then it'll be easier to find the right drivers for its wireless adapter. You should be able to find it on a sticker underneath the laptop.
This should help. Dell inspiron 3521
