You understand they aren't required, right? It's a staple of free software to add these into the installer. And as long as you aren't a retard, you can select no, and the creators can still make some money.
I don't see how it's a bad thing. That one time you didn't realize what you were doing and downloaded some shit is your own fault.
No need to hold a grudge against free software in general.
