I've got lots of images in many folders all arround my HDD and would like a image organizer that let sort them by category, album and then filter them by tags. Something like MusicBee but for images. Any recommendations?
Also, if it can find duplicates it would be awesome.

i've seen photographers using photomechanic supposedly it is extremly fast even with thousands of .raw pics. the best thing i guess is that it have something like a color codes for faster browsing.

digiKam can do all that. It can also find "similar" images withing your collection. Sort-of tineye but offline and for your local folders.
And tags, and whatnot. It's a professional photo organizer.
If you haven't installed Gentoo yet, it has windoors ports.
