Got a "gaming" laptop as a nice christmas gift. It seems to run a lot of the things I throw at it (Battlefield 4 on High, for example, runs perfectly on a 64p server). BUT, I've never owned a gaming laptop before and usually built mine, so this is a bit alien to me regarding temperature. What are safe temps for an i7-4720HQ? Battlefield 4 bumps me up to 80c, and it'll hover between 75c and 85c during play. Idle temperature is pretty, around 30-45c usually.

At what point should I be worrying about the heat on something like this?

It is impossible to exceed a safe temperature for an Intel processor, because it just halts its clock until it cools down.

Big numbers seem scary, but remember it's not a person, it's an intricately-engraved stone.
