I'm kind of upset that you or whoever you got the list from included Houkago no Pleiades in this list of bad anime. The 4-episode ONA was legitimately terrible, but the TV series was actually pretty enjoyable. The soundtrack, characters, and amount of detail in the science were all great.

Evangelion was good. Wouldn't call it my favorite, but it was definitely good.
If you're looking for stuff to watch, you should post what type of anime you enjoyed so we have a better feel of what to recommend
Just because an anime is reckoned to be good doesn't mean you will enjoy it. You're better off watching stuff in your favorite genres, and more specifically entry level series in your favorite genres before getting into more niche stuff.
