Does anyone know how to stop sites from converting dates to local time?

By making your own browser, because this is the most retarded request one can come up with. Besided it should still convert the time into SOME timezone, you can't just tell the browser to do nothing. Do you want to see dates like in pic related or do you really want to see shit like "1450906295" instead?
Also I should mention that most of the timezone conversion on public websites is usually done with client-side Javascript instead of server-side scripts (which is totally doable with your IP, but not many even bother). Disabling Javascript in your browser can either just fix your issue and nothing else, disable some website features, or completely destroy it leaving only an empty white page. If you want to disable only specific Javascript files, welcome to >>>/g/

Because 4chan implemented the option. If a website uses javascript to convert dates and doesn't give you the option to disable it, you can't disable it.

Sure you can. You just use Greasemonkey to rewrite their date conversion function and/or hook their gettimeofday calls to ask for UTC.
