Symphogear. Lots of Big Damn Hero(ine) moments. Some grimdark parts, though.

Also the third season was widely criticized, particularly the second half.

Another fun heroine actioner. Not a lot of heavy action, mind you, more of an "adventure" story. No blood and death, IIRC.

One Piece (manga not the anime). Every major arc has at least one instance of somebody being selflessly heroic in an over the top way.
