Hold shift while booting, and see if you can get through, if you do, you have installed extension that's fucking your shit up.

Press CMD + R to boot in recovery, you can attempt a disk repair (or SOS if you have El Capitan installed) through the disk utility

If that doesn't work try reinstalling OS X without wiping out the HDD by simply choosing reinstall OS X.

If you have a Time Machine backup, wipe the HDD clean and reinstall, follow the setup assistant and recover you files through the migration assistant in /Applications/Utilities.

Do you hear any beeping sounds when you boot?
