I was playing Dark Souls and after I entered a boss area, the background music began stutter-looping and eventually the whole thing froze, leading to bsod
When it first rebooted, it asked to insert a boot device or select one after rebooting, which is what I did.
Now everytime I boot, the spinning circles loading screen just sits thre for 10 mins, then it says it is checking and repairing D drive. This takes around 30 minutes. Then it goes away, and after 5 mins or so the login screen comes up.

The pauses are the OS trying to read a sector, and having to wait for the disk to try over and over again before it eventually succeeds or gives up.
TURN YOUR COMPUTER OFF NOW.
Go buy a new disk, and ghost as much as you can save from your old disk before it dies. Don't waste the time you have left with it.

I think it's a ninjato or something, so I'd imagine that the writing would be Japanese.
Although at the base of the blade there's an inscription that says "China", so this might prove to be disappointing.
Even if it's not very authentic, I guess I'm still a bit curious about the writing.

Hey guize, so I have a pretty powerful desktop pc. I5-6500, gtx 970, 8gigs ddr4, 500gb 850 evo... But I actually travel a lot. So I was thinking of setting up a remote connection from my laptop to my desktop when I'm away and I need ze horzpower, I do almost always have access to internet when away. And my question is as follows, is a laptop with a celeron n2940 (Bay Trail), 2gb of ram (could upgrade to 8gb-1333, I actually have 1 dead laptop at home, the ram should be ok), with access to fast enough internet, enough for what I'm going to do? And would it be powerful...

I have an issue with my Asus Maximus VIII Hero
The board ran great for a few months. I had an 980ti SLI set up on it, one referance the other one a EVGA hybrid.
I opened my case and switched the cards around to se if the referance would stay at lower temps in a different position. Thats all I did.
When I attempted to boot it up, the MOBO gave me a 00 error code. I know this is undefined.
I tested my power supply on another board. works fine
I took out all GPU/RAM/SATA/Perephials.
Still a 00 error code.
What could be wrong?

The mobo needs to be rma'd, but you should also swap your gpu's, so the reference 980 is on the bottom, it'll have a bit more room to get rid of the heat and if you improve your cable management it'll look nicer too.
650W or 750W for this build?
Bear in mind if I go 650W I'm going to have to find a cheaper motherboard.

A 500W is enough, take 550W if you want, but I don't see why you should have a 650W or 750W.
Why would you have to get a cheaper motherboard if you went with the 650?

Nowadays the few games I keep hearing about are path of exile and grim dawn (-40% on steam right now). dunno how worth it they are. PoE is free you can still give it a try without spending money
