Little bit of a repost from a short while back- I absolutely loved Seirei no Moribito and Twelve Kingdoms (although the latter did take a fair amount of time to finally get me invested), but I've been having some trouble trying to find similar shows.
Really, what I'm most interested in is the character development and growth over time that both shows had, not exactly the fantasy elements or settings. The characters felt real and grounded, the villains had reasonable motivations, and it all built towards something tangible in the end.
Does anybody...

So are you looking for a drama/adventure that has a story that spans years with very "human" characters? If you don't mind space opera then Legend of the Galactic Heroes is a good bet. Like Seirei no Moribito it's based on a novel series (actual novels, not light novels).
Finding series of this scope is pretty difficult though.
>>86661
It's not even the scope that I'm after so much, more just that there's a journey where characters demonstrably grow and change over the series, build friendships/relationships, that kind of thing.
>>86627
Already read/watched it, I'd say it sort of falls under what I'm looking for as well even for what flaws it did have.
Anyone here can recommend me some good Japanese or Korean Dramas?
Thanks in advance!
Any particular theme?
Blue Blazes is about some guy wanting to do manga and his one sided rivalry with Hideaki Anno.

Does anyone remember watching a cartoon where the characters are all thumbs and the antagonist is some skinny finger. I saw it a long time ago when I was young and I can't at all find it. I would appreciate it

You mean that old Noggin show?
I'm looking for a picture I saw around /a/ a while back. It was titled "Reasons not to kill yourself in 2016" and had a list of sequels and big adaptions that were supposed to come out this year. Can't find the pic in the archive, any have it?

Different guy but I have a request too. Is there a remake of this in the works? I like to see one of those upcoming anime charts if anyone has them.

Does anyone have that comic of a fat American laughing at World War II and Vietnam, then looking upset at 9/11? It's used in anti-American shitposting threads sometimes.
Yes.

As far as I know (via many people on /a/) anime TV series are in 720, so don't bother with 1080 torrents since that's upscaled. What about films?
In particular I'm looking at "The Garden of Words" movie and it's in 1920 (nah), 1080, and 720. Are the first two upscales, and not worth it?
>>86521
Cinemas are >4k, so anything intended to be shown in one is mastered at cinema resolution where possible.
>>86521
Anon I have a site you might like.
It lists all shows in a season/some movies and what resolution they are airing at.

As for what you asked for.

Slight warning. The site is in moon, but it is easy to see what resolution something is (and google translate can give a gist of names) and search...

Thank you for your responses! They're very helpful.
I'm a filthy casual and I can't figure out how to use this shit for the life of me
I mounted the file to a virtual drive (simple enough) and ran the setup
Everything installed flawlessly but when I start the game it just says 'wrong disc inserted
please insert the original (insert game name) CD/DVD.
Please have a look at random web address for further, more detailed information.'
What do?
How do I bypass this?
I even remounted the image and tried to start it but it told me to insert it into Drive (E:)
You haven't applied the crack. Read the instructions.
what game?
google for a fix
I need to make a research question for a project in my college Eng class. My subject is on how college student debt causes health issues such as anxiety and stress and lead to bad behaviors/habits, the question needs to be narrowed down so that it covers one thing and not a broad spectrum of things. So, in short, I am requesting help on this question because I just can't come up with shit.
>>86497
student debt -> personal issues -> poor relationships?
OP here, this is what I got so far but need it to be more professional. 'How can college student debt lead to health issues like anxiety and bad behavior?'
Can nobody here make a better research question?
hey /wsr/
I'm in desperate need of a webm, quite frequent in music threads on /gif/. It's a webm of a country-like band, i especially remember banjo, playing in a hospital for a dying person. Anyone got a sauce on that?

Interested.

My girlfriend hates everything related to japanese culture, but I like it so she wants to give a try to the mangas.
Can you recommend me a manga that is not too fantasy-related, preferably drama? She and I watched Death Note and she liked it. She doesn't like Naruto or Dragon Ball and those kind of mangas.
Thank you kindly
>pic related: she looks like this
Kiss him not me is a good one.
How about light novels?

I think she could like them
I have a interesting request. I hate anime, and consider it juvenile, wasteful garbage, and the fact that /a/ acts like petulant children whenever you disagree with their opinions, makes me only hate the medium more.
I like Miyazaki's works, FLCL, and Cowboy Bebop, and that's about it. I've tried Evangelion, and I got 7 episodes into it before giving up.
Is their any other anime series worth watching, or have a more mature bent to them?
FLCL is not funny at all and shit so I guess you may be able to like pretty much everything.
Just avoid cute girls doing cute things and you will be fine.
>>86462
You might like some series from manga/webtoons/manhua instead
Give this a try:

Watch kaiji
Can someone recommend some good delinquent anime / manga similar to the styles of Beelzebub and GTO? Preferably one with cute girls but I know that they're not typically in this sort of genre.

I was sure there was a place here on 4chan that people would talk about sculpture modelling and such, but I did search for one days and couldn't find. Am I going full retard or people stopped those threads?
>>86437
Well, I guess it was an art board? Maybe /ic/ had those but sculpting isn't really popular there. I think I saw some on /3/ but only to discuss 3d scanning and such, not really about modelling. If you really have to try use /ic/, expect the d/ic/ks to throw around things like: LOOMIS, you're not gonna make it, you don't have the spark etc.
I tried looking for threads about sculpting on /ic/ in the archives and this is all I found: https://warosu.org/ic/thread/S2153556
tl;dr: /ic/ is probably the most suitable board for that subject, but you won't get much out of it.
>>86451
Thanks, I guess people didn't had much interest on it but I will check out /ic/
Hey /wsr/, can you recommend me some completed romance manga/anime that are a little less known but still good? Preferably with a good conclusion/end.
Ore Monogatari is cute
You could try Oreimo...I thought the ending was OK
