Want to make a gif out of a series of images, but I'm too much of a noob and all those sites look fishy. Help out please?

Open the images as layers in GIMP. Export as an animated gif. For "delay between frames" it's the inverse of fps, in milliseconds.

You might also want to use dithering if your gif has color banding (common for skin tones in live action video). And you can shrink the filesize by using the "optimize for gif" feature in GIMP (this works best for simple images like cartoons).
